About Us

The Burlingame Aquatic Club (BAC) is dedicated to providing exceptional aquatic opportunities for the community, embodying the belief that aquatics is for everyone. Established in 2000 with a focus on competitive aquatics for both youth and adults, BAC has developed successful programs in Club Swimming (USS), Masters Swimming (USMS), Masters Water Polo, and Club Water Polo (USWP), achieving national-level success among its athletes. In 2011, BAC expanded its role by managing both community and competitive programs, excluding high school athletics, on behalf of the City of Burlingame. This expansion introduced additional offerings such as open swim, swim lessons, summer camps, adult aerobics, and community events. BAC aims to foster growth and development for athletes of all skill levels, starting from 6 months of age. As a nonprofit organization, BAC is deeply committed to its community, neighbors, and participating families. It operates primarily out of an aquatic center owned by the San Mateo Union High School District (SMUHSD) and located at Burlingame High School. This collaboration extends to the City of Burlingame’s Parks & Recreation Department. The facility features a 50m pool with depths ranging from 3-13 feet, catering to both lap and recreational swimming, alongside a wading/instructional pool that is 3.5 feet deep. The Executive Director (ED) of BAC oversees all aspects of the organization, reporting directly to the Board of Directors.
