DUAL SPORT PROGRAM:
In an effort to provide for club members interested in both swimming and water polo, BAC has constructed a specialized program within which dual athletes can thrive. This schedule allows for participants to experience both sports without being made to compromise their training efforts. It is BAC’s position that dual sport training can be valuable in both athletic and character development, and helps athletes to understand and appreciate the values of individual and team training.
For the summer session, the summer dual sport program is available to all athletes between the ages of 10-18. Enrollment is limited by team and group size in order to ensure productive ratios between players and coaches. Please send in your registration form as soon as possible to reserve your place in the program. All team rosters are formed on a first come, first served basis.
Program Dates:
Training for BAC’s Summer Dual Sport Program will begin May 18th. All Dual Sport training will conclude by August 2nd. Any athletes seeking to continue swim training following August 2nd should contact Head Swim Coach Chris Culp at: chris@burlingameaquatics.com.
Training Schedule:
BAC recommends that all members of the dual sport program participate daily in both water polo and swimming workouts as specified for each training group below. Please note that practice times will vary for each individual based on his/her level within each sport. Additionally, while it may be possible for 12U and 14U athletes to participate in both swimming and water polo in one day, please talk to the coaching staff before committing to daily double practices. We want to ensure that we prevent any athletes from overtraining!

Practice Times:
As mentioned above, practice times for each individual athlete will vary according to their level of experience and skill. To access summer workout schedules please visit the links to either the Summer Water Polo Schedule or Summer Swim Schedule. Please note that placement in any practice group is up to the sole discretion of the coaching staff. If you have concerns about group placement, please contact the head coach of that program.
Dual Sport Fees:
To encourage athletes to participate in both swimming and water polo, BAC offers substantial discounts to those who choose to enroll in the club’s unique dual sport program. Discounted rates can be found on the HOW TO REGISTER WITH BAC page, along with further scheduling information.
Please note that additional family member discounts are not available for the Dual Sport Program.
