Children learning to swim

Swim Lessons

Learn to swim in a safe, supportive environment with our experienced instructors.

Our Teaching Philosophy

We believe learning to swim should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Our program creates a positive and supportive environment where learners of all ages and levels can discover the joy of swimming, overcome fears, and celebrate achievements.

From basic water safety and survival skills to competition-level techniques, our structured approach helps students progress naturally through each level. We emphasize proper body positioning from our Tidepool level through to Mini-Barracudas.

Learn with us to become a safe, confident swimmer with the skills to transition to competitive swimming or water polo if desired.

Splashball Water Polo

Introduce young players to the game!

The Splashball program is for kids ages 8 to 12 who want to learn the basics of water polo in a non-competitive, fun, instructional environment. There are no formal games at this age level.

Practices are held in the small pool where kids can stand, allowing them to focus on learning the game without worrying about treading water. All participants will be introduced to the rules and general strategy of the game, and will begin to develop their ball handling and “water polo swimming” skills.

Players will require a Bronze Athlete Membership from USA Water Polo. The entry level membership for “Splashball” is sufficient and can be upgraded when the athlete moves up to the next level. You will be asked to submit your USWP # when registering.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should my child bring to swim lessons?

Your child should bring a swimsuit, towel, and goggles (optional but recommended). For younger children, we recommend swim diapers if not fully potty trained. We provide all necessary equipment for the lessons.

How long are the swim lessons?

Group lessons are 30 minutes long, once a week for 4 weeks. Private lessons are also 30 minutes per session, and can be scheduled as single sessions or packages.

We will need to miss a class, do you have a make-up class or refund for the day we miss?

There are no refunds for missed classes but a credit can be issued in some cases or a make-up class can be scheduled if possible. To ensure consistency and fairness for all families and instructors, our cancellation policy is summarized below:
• Lessons take place rain or shine unless conditions become unsafe. No refunds for missed lessons due to weather, but in the chance conditions are deemed unsafe a credit may be issued to use for future lessons.
• In case of sickness or medical emergency a credit can be issued under certain circumstances or a make up class scheduled if available.
• No credit or make-up class will be offered after the class has started.
• Classes may be canceled or moved to a different time in the event of insufficient registration.

How do I know which level is right for my child?

If you're unsure about which level is appropriate for your child, we recommend looking at the class descriptions to get a basic idea. In most cases we can adjust accordingly.

Is there a waitlist for full classes?

Yes, we maintain waitlists for all our classes. We recommend joining the waitlist as spots often open up. You'll receive an email notification if a spot becomes available.

Can parents stay and watch the lessons?

Absolutely! We have designated viewing areas where parents can observe lessons. For some younger children, we find they focus better when parents aren't in their direct line of sight.
